Finalist at the South West LABC Building Excellence Awards

Alongside Cavanna Homes, John Grimes Partnership were nominated for an award at the South West LABC Building Excellence Awards.

The award was for the development known as Parish Green, Harris Way, Lee Mill, Devon and was highly commended in the category of Best High Volume New Housing Development (8 units or more).

John Grimes Partnership carried out the design of the roads and drainage for the development including obtaining technical approvals for the Section 38, 278 and 104 Agreements.  The surface water drainage design on the steeply sloping site had to address the varying ground conditions and the restricted discharge permitted to public sewer.  The SUDS design successfully used soakaways where ground conditions and topography permitted with attenuation storage and restricted discharge to public sewer elsewhere.
